About Nikki Davidson
In 2013, I was extremely fortunate to complete my 200hr. YTT Hatha Yoga certification with yogic visionaries Nora Maskey and Alice Hong; founder and teachers, at the Inspired Institute in Calgary. I was first introduced to this sacred practice 19 years ago. For this I will always be grateful, to my extraordinary mother, Judy Davidson. Over the years, my practice has been healing, transformative, and developed into more than a habitual art form. It has become my way of life. I love to carefully craft my teachings for individuals, with diverse backgrounds and abilities. Together, we can work with where you're at and evolve from there. Discovering and practicing yoga has been a beautiful journey. I'm deeply honoured to share the love and sacred teachings of this tradition, in my favourite mountain playground, at breathtaking Lake Louise.
About Yin/Yang Yoga
Yin, the feminine principle: dark, passive, receptive, reflective, withdrawn, cool, introspective. Yin yoga was developed to penetrate deep into connective tissue expanding flexibility and aiding healing while stimulating the meridians to loosen energetic blockages and increase energy flow.
Yang, the masculine principle: light, active, outward and upward moving, hot, extrospective. Yang yoga is the more traditional hatha or ashtanga based asana practice that develops muscular strength, stamina, and flexibility.
This class can provide you with a practice that starts with deep, introspective and quiet yoga that evolves into an energizing and uplifting yoga that sets you on your way for the rest of your day.
